Become a Partner in the Preservation of Burkittsville's Story

South Mountain Heritage Society (SMHS) is dedicated to preserving and interpreting the history of Burkittsville. As a non-profit, volunteer-driven organization, we rely on the support of members who make it possible for us to collect and preserve the cultural resources of the Burkittsville area, provide exhibits and programing which encourage visitors to discover our unique story, and to maintain the historic Resurrection Reformed Church for the benefit of future generations in our community.

All members receive our e-newsletter South Mountain Tidings and free access to resources and assistance in the Heritage Society’s library. Additional membership benefits are outlined below.
